The Radiant Sourcerer Tarot takes its name from the major arcana card in the deck, The Sourcerer. In traditional naming conventions, this is the card of the Magician, who is associated with manifestation, a beginning or an initiation to the mysteries of life, and who’s key phrase might be “as above so below”.
The name I chose for this card is The Sourcerer. The Sourcerer is the one who stands at the Source, The Source of All That Is, and from there, manifests. They are Radiant with the light of that Source which shines within and illuminates the world around them.
I’ve always especially loved the association for the Sorcerer from the Xultan Tarot by Peter Balin, described as one who “manifests the unknown in the known.”
